PROFESSOR OF HUMAN MOVEMENT SCIENCE - Ref. G407



Applications are invited for the Chair of Human Movement Science to deliver essential key objectives specified by the Institute for Ageing and Health within the Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) programme. The successful applicant will be based on the Campus for Ageing and Vitality primarily within the newly constructed Clinical Ageing Research Unit (CARU), and will be expected to develop and lead on studies relating to disorders of gait and balance in the elderly. The postholder will interface and collaborate with several of the main themes within the BRC programmes (for example, dementia and neurodegenerative disease, stroke and cardiovascular disease, mitochondrial disease and musculoskeletal disorders). It is also expected that they will work closely with colleagues within Biomedical Engineering.



Salary will be at an appropriate point on the Professorial salary scale.
