We are pleased to announce that the 19th edition of Conference of the
International Society for Posture & Gait Research (ISPGR) will be
held in Bologna (ITALY) on June 21-25, 2009.

As you all know ISPGR meetings provide a multidisciplinary forum
for basic and clinical scientists, and offer a great opportunity to
present and discuss your latest research and clinical findings on the
control of posture and gait and related disorders.

Also, this meeting is organized with the goal to facilitate
interaction between ISPGR members who meet from all over the world and,
ultimately, to promote the broad discipline of posture and gait research.

The conference will include outstanding invited presentations on cutting-edge topics,

entertaining and lively 'yes/no' debates, sponsored lunch-meetings, and plenty of room for

free oral and poster presentations.

Major and more innovative companies will present their latest products on the market.

A preliminary program of the Conference and the list
of the invited speakers are already available on the website.

Two awards will be given in recognition of the best research by a student poster presenter. Creativity,
clarity of presentation and originality of the research will be
among the award criteria. The winners of the award will be announced at
the Conference dinner on Wednesday June 24th, 2009.

It is worth noting that for the first time ISPGR will hold its meeting in Italy!

As the conference organizers we are busy with finalizing exciting
social events for attendees and accompanying persons that will allow
you a first-hand experience of Bologna and its Region (Emilia Romagna),
spanning from its history to its culture,
from its long-lasting scientific tradition, with the oldest University of the Western world,
to its technological excellence (including brands like Ducati and
Ferrari). And, of course, you cannot tell you have been to Bologna if
you don't get lost in its
broad network of small restaurants and 'trattorie' where you can still look for hand-made
pasta and tortellini, one of the gastronomic hallmarks of the city...

Abstract submission opening was October 15th and will close on December 31st, 2008.

A call for proposals for 'yes/no' debates will be open with the same schedule.
