Portsmouth, UK are looking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Sports

The Department of Sport & Exercise Science is seeking to employ a full
time permanent Senior Lecturer in the area of sport and exercise
biomechanics. The Department currently offers 4 undergraduate programmes
(BSc (Hons) Sports Science, BSc (Hons) Sports Development, BSc (Hons)
Water Sports Science and BSc (Hons) Sports Management with English
(International students only). It also offers an MSc in Sports
Performance. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to
the teaching of sport and exercise biomechanics in units such as:
Introduction to Sports Biomechanics
Tools of Biomechanical Analysis
Applied Biomechanics
Motion Analysis

They will also be required to supervise final year projects, act as a
personal tutor and engage in research in the Department.
The post is a good opportunity for a suitably qualified applicant with
ambition to work in academia to gain experience in a young and growing
Department. The Department has just moved into new purpose built
accommodation called the Spinnaker Building that includes a world class
laboratories. The biomechanics facilities include two Kistler Force
Plates, a four camera Qualisys Oqus system with digital high speed video
(1000 Hz+), two 8-Channel Biometrics EMG systems with various
transducers. The environmental suite includes climatic chambers with an
integrated swimming flume and cold water immersion facilities. In
addition, the building houses excellent teaching and research
laboratories in the major disciplines of sports science.
