Dear Biomch-L subscribers,

I try to make a dynamic model for swing and double stance phase. in "D. MENA, ANALYSIS AND SYNTHESIS OF HUMAN SWING LEG MOTION DURING GAIT AND ITS CLINICAL APPLICATIONS." , He talk about a model of human leg during the swing phase with three coupled second orde nonlinear differential equations. these equations are acting with resultante moment of the thigh, shank and foot. these moments represent the segment moments and not joint moments.

My question is : what is the difference between segment moments and joint moments ???

I think the segments need a joint moment to move, so the segment and joint moments is the same or not !!! Please, anyone has a suggestion, Thanks.

Best Regards,
