View Full Version : Postdoctoral position at Brown University

12-19-2008, 08:59 PM
An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available to study the
mechanics of muscle and tendon function during locomotion. The
project uses an animal model to investigate the influence of elastic
elements on contractile element force production, in particular for
activities that involve energy dissipation. The study involves in
vivo measurements including sonomicrometry and strain gage -based
measurements of tendon force, as well as isolated muscle mechanics

Applicants should have a background in biomechanics or musculoskeletal
physiology. Further inquiries about the position are welcome, email
Thomas Roberts at roberts@brown.edu. Applicants should send a brief
statement of research interests, a c.v., and names of three references
to Thomas Roberts at roberts@brown.edu.
