Five TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITIONS in Biomedical Engineering and Biomedical

The School of Biomedical Engineering, Science, and Health Systems at Drexel
University, invites nominations and applications for four tenure track and
one chair professor positions in Biomedical Engineering and Biomedical
Science starting September 2009. Successful candidates are expected to have
excellent research and academic credentials in Biomedical Engineering,
Science and related fields. Entry level applicants must demonstrate
potential to perform competitively. Junior candidates with a track record of
externally funded research will be given favorable consideration. Senior
faculty are expected to provide evidence of outstanding accomplishment in
funded scientific research and should posses qualities of leadership and
creativity confirmed through formal credentials and national/international

We are particularly encouraging applications from qualified applicants with
research accomplishments in:

· Orthopedic Biomechanics and Rehabilitation Engineering, Cellular
Micromechanics, BioMEMs and BioNEMs (All Ranks)

· Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (All Ranks)

· Biomedical Informatics, Functional and Computational Genomics (All

· Bio-Optics, Biosensors, Biomedical Signals and Systems (All Ranks)

· Neuroengineering with emphasis on Cognitive Neuroscience or
Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) (Chair Professor)

Science and Health Systems is a nationally recognized center for biomedical
engineering and science research and education founded in 1958 and
reorganized in 1998. The School confers ABET accredited undergraduate
degrees in Biomedical Engineering and MS and PhD degrees in Biomedical
Engineering and Biomedical Science. The School's graduate program is one of
the oldest in the country.
