Faculty Position in Biomechanics, Cornell University

The Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Cornell
University, Ithaca, New York invites applications for a faculty position in
biomechanics. Applicants must hold a doctorate in an appropriate field,
have demonstrated leadership in the field, and have established an
outstanding research program and excellent teaching. Applicants at the
level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor will be
considered. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and
experience.

We seek outstanding individuals engaged in theoretical, computational
and/or experimental research in biomechanical engineering. Current research
areas in the school include: orthopaedic biomechanics; tissue engineering;
and bioMEMS. Cornell fosters interdisciplinary research through the New
Life Sciences Initiative. Biomechanics faculty in the school have ample
opportunities to collaborate with the Cornell-Hospital for Special Surgery
Institute for Orthopaedic Biomechanics; Cornell Center for Materials
Research; Nanobiotechnology Research Center; Cornell Nanofabrication
Facility; and the Department of Biomedical Engineering.

The Sibley School and the College of Engineering at Cornell embrace
