View Full Version : 2D video coord software?

03-04-2009, 06:17 AM
Dear Biomech-L Subscribers,

Could you recommend good (and hopefully low-cost) video analysis software
for calculating basic 2-dimensional kinematics from .avi video files
of participants walking on a treadmill?

The sort of measures we are looking for are:
absolute segment angles, relative joint angles, instantaneous velocities.

The main thing we need is (x,y) coordinates from identified landmarks on the video,
as we could use those coords to calculate the rest ourselves.
The kicker is that the avi files are approximately 100 to 200 MB.

Thanks for any information, suggestions, advice, etc.
