Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the North West Biomechanics Research Day,
being held at the University of Salford (Salford, United Kingdom) on
the 15th of May, 2009. This one day conference is the fourth of its
kind and will showcase the thriving Biomechanics research being
conducted at Universities within the North West of England. This
meeting provides an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with other
researchers in areas as diverse as biomaterials, rehabilitation, and
palaeontology. We hope that this research day will stimulate new
regional collaborations in the area of Biomechanics and links between
researchers across a wide range of fields. Attendance is not limited
to Universities in the North West of England and we hope to attract
some national and even international attendees. There is no cost for
attendance and lunch will be provided on the day. If you are
travelling in the UK and the North West region on or around May 15th
please feel welcome to attend.

Papers will be provided by eight Universities in the form of oral and
poster presentations. The scientific programme can be downloaded at
the following website:

For those of you who are interested in attending, please email one of
the organisers listed below.

We look forward to greeting you on the 15th of May.
