Dear Colleagues,

Nowadays it seems every new product out there is “ergonomically” designed, however, few are ever evaluated. Studies which compare products based on ergonomic aspects can help identify design features that provide a real benefit to the user. Therefore, I invite you to submit to a special issue of *WORK: A Journal of Prevention, Assessment & Rehabilitation* (IOS Press) devoted to studies that evaluate products and work methods with regards to ergonomic aspects. We are looking to include articles that span a number of industries including (but not limited to):

- office and home products
- construction
- healthcare
- manufacturing
- athletics

In addition to providing recommendations for the products studied, the objective of the issue is to provide readers with a framework for how products and design features are evaluated from an ergonomic perspective. Articles can range from case studies (3-10 pages) to research and clinical papers (15-30 pages). Graduate student papers are welcome, too.

Tentative schedule:
August, 2009 Submission deadline
November, 2009 First round of reviews
January, 2010 Special issue submitted to publisher
Late 2010/Early 2011 Special issue is published (anticipated date)

Please forward this message to anyone you know whose work might be related to the topic of this special issue, thank you
