Dear All,

10 Full-Time PhD Marie Curie Fellowships in Cardiovascular Engineering
and Medical Devices (MeDDiCA)

10 Doctoral Research Fellows (Early Stage Researchers - ESR) are
required for three years to work on a collaborative project
investigating new methodologies and technologies in cardiovascular
engineering for the design, modeling, simulation and validation of
medical devices (valves and stents). This research is supported by the
European Commission, 7th Framework Programme, through the Marie Curie
Initial Training Network MeDDiCA.

The network comprises 9 partners: University College London (UK),
University of Sheffield (UK), Universitatea Tehnica Cluj-Napoca
(Romania), Centre Nationale de la Recherche Scientifique (France),
Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands), University of
Amsterdam (Netherlands), Politecnico di Milano (Italy), ANSYS-UK Ltd
(UK) and Istituto Superiore di Sanita (Italy). More information about

Essential: Researchers must be nationals of a State other than that
of the host organisation. At the start of their fellowship/activity,
researchers may not have resided or carried out their main activity
(work, studies, etc) in the country of their host organisation for more
than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the start date.

Early Stage researchers
Are expected to register for a PhD
Should have less than 4 years experience
Should not hold a PhD

There will be specific requirements depending upon the positions
available. More details of the projects/posts will be advertised in the
MeDDiCA website

The closing date for applications is the 24th of August.

Interviews will be held in September 2009

The successful candidate(s) must be able to take up this position no
later than the 01/10/2009
