Senior Biomedical Engineer / Senior Lecturer

The Adelaide Centre for Spinal Research in Adelaide, Australia seeks a Senior Biomedical Engineer to join this dynamic research group with an international reputation, for an initial contract of 2.5 years, with the opportunity to extend, subject to satisfactory performance and funding. For suitably qualified candidates, it is expected this position will hold the affiliate title of Senior Lecturer within the University of Adelaide.

This position has been developed specifically to advance spinal research, particularly in the field of biomedical engineering. The successful candidate will have post-doctoral experience with materials testing machines, a proven track record of research achievement and an ability to complete tasks within defined deadlines. There will be opportunities to work with cadaveric samples and experimental models in a broad-based research programme. The Senior Biomedical Engineer / Senior Lecturer will be responsible for the operation of a new INSTRON 8802 six-axis spinal testing system due for delivery in 3 months. Initial in-house training will be provided if required.

The position is equivalent to a Grant Funded Scientist (GFS) Grade 3. Total indicative remuneration package AUD 90,319 - 95,153 pa consisting of base wage (AUD 73,176 - 77,611 pa), superannuation, leave loading, managerial allowance and salary sacrifice.
