Dear Colleagues,

Ozen Engineering is continuing its monthly webinar series on topics
related to musculoskeletal simulation. The next webinar topic and
time is listed below.

Webinar Topic:

In previous webinars, we have presented workflows that suggest a
comprehensive optimization of an implant is possible by using boundary
conditions derived from a musculoskeletal simulation, importing those
loads into a Finite Element Analysis, calculating metrics related to
device performance, and then optimizing the device geometry with
respect to select criteria. In those previous webinar presentations,
the loads from the musculoskeletal simulations have been constant and
have not been dynamically updated to reflect changes in the inertia
properties of the updated device geometry. Additionally, only one
activity of daily living was used.

This webinar will address those deficiencies and present a more
complete workflow. Specifically, the musculoskeletal simulation is
now included in the optimization loop and multiple activities are
incorporated to demonstrate how a library of activities can be
functionally used for device assessment. The design optimization has
been carried out using AnyBody, Any2Ans, Ansys, and modeFRONTIER.
