Applications are now being solicited from highly motivated individuals
for immediately available, Registrar/Project Manager. This position is
located on Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas.



The available position is Full Time in direct support of the Joint
Trauma Registry Data Acquisition Branch providing management and
coordination of the systematic collection, aggregation, coding, storage,
retrieval, and reporting of demographic, incident, treatment, and
outcome data for casualties during military operations. Will also
review, and analyze medical trauma statistical data in support of the
Joint Theater Trauma Registry program while implementing and evaluating
policies, processes, and procedures for all JTTR DAB functions. The
project manager will also provide on-site management of all JTTR DAB
functions, provide orientation and training of all JTTR DAB contract
employees, monitor results of the JTTR DAB Quality Management Plan, and
take and document actions as necessary. The PM will also monitor all
JTTR DAB processes and identify opportunities for improvement; execute,
and monitor plans to improve processes and data quality, provide monthly
status reports on productivity, data quality, problems, etc in order to
ensure efficient and effective JTTR performance, communicate and
coordinate with PASBA, USAMITC, other ISR entities, and any other
external agency for processes, data sharing, and other related JTTR DAB
procedures. Also required is the identification and coordination of
necessary system change requests, and follow through until
implementation and evaluation, coordinate with all levels of JTTR, to
include levels of care III-V to ensure consistent and quality data,
identify inconsistencies or discrepancies in medical documentation
and/or JTTR data, and recommends processes or guidelines for resolution,
provide other reports on JTTR DAB data as required by JTTS Director,
coordinate system requirements with Data Management Analyst and other
ISR IT personnel, provide and coordinate support to special research
requests, requirements, or other special projects for Director, JTTS,
USAISR, coordinate training for JTTR DAB staff as well as any external
training, such as Trauma Coordinator Training, supervise JTTR DAB AKO
site.



The project manager may be required to travel to off-site locations (to
include CONUS and OCONUS) for the purposes of quality review, training,
and other purposes as set forth by the Director, JTTS, USAISR.
Additionally, will be required to participate in additional
tasks/special projects as assigned by the Director, JTTS, USAISR.



The project manager will have the following qualifications and skills:
BS in Nursing, MS preferred, a US RN license and a minimum of five (5)
consecutive years of nursing experience with at least three years (3)
experience as a critical care nurse in a critical care unit, trauma
unit, emergency department, or inpatient operating room, with a minimum
of five (5) years of Management experience, and a minimum of three (3)
years of experience working as a Trauma Nurse Coordinator or Trauma
Nurse Registrar, or equivalent experience. Sufficient expertise as a
project manager to successfully complete the requirements of the
contract. Military nursing preferred.



The Registrar will serve as the on-site Project Manager, and is
responsible for contract performance of medical record abstraction, data
entry, ICD-9-CM and AIS 2005 Military Version (MV) coding, data quality
management, and data management. A resume is required.
