LECTURER/ SENIOR LECTURER

This is an exciting opportunity for outstanding candidates to join the UK's leading School of Sport and Exercise Sciences at the University of Birmingham and work closely with internationally leading groups in the School of Psychology and the College of Medical and Dental Sciences. The School is looking to make two appointments with strategic fit to the School (www.sportexbham.ac.uk) and cognate areas within the University. Candidates must be able to demonstrate an excellent research track record and teaching innovation with respect to career stage.

Priority may be given to candidates with interests in the following areas: exercise and health psychology; biomechanics, human movement and/or motor control; cardiovascular and respiratory physiology; integrative human physiology and metabolism; muscle and exercise physiology.

Starting salary Lecturer 36,532 - 43,622 a year (potential progression on performance once in post to 49,096 a year).
Starting salary Senior Lecturer 44,930 - 52,086 a year (potential progression on performance once in post to 67,962 a year).

Salary will be based on qualifications and experience within the relevant academic scales
