Dear Biomch-L subscribers,

This question was prompted by a new initiative within the International
Society of Biomechanics (ISB) to distribute tutorial lectures and keynote
lectures via streaming video on the internet. This is also relevant to
Biomch-L, where it is often useful to include a URL which points to online
video material.

The easiest way for us to make video material available is via commercial
services, such as YouTube or Vimeo. However, some institutions (like mine) are
blocking access to such sites because of possible recreational use.

If this is a problem that affects many people, we need to think of alternative
ways to provide access to this material.

Therefore, I would like to hear from you if you do *not* have access to one of
the following sites:

http://www.youtube.com
http://www.vimeo.com

(Cleveland Clinic employees don't need to reply).

If you have specific suggestions on how to avoid this problem, also please let
me know. For instance, if there is a service that only accepts scientific and
educational material, it may not become blocked.

I will report back to Biomch-L once the results of this survey are in.
