The Department of Biomedical engineering for Fall 2010. The position is at the assistant professor level and requires a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a related field, commitment to teaching and potential for conducting innovative research in biomedical engineering. Qualified individuals with expertise in one of the following fields of bioengineering are encouraged to apply: biomechanics, bioinstrumentation and controls, imaging, biomaterials, rehabilitation engineering, and telehealth/telemedicine. The Department of Biomedical Engineering at CUA, one of only 32 ABET accredited undergraduate programs, also awards masters and doctoral degrees in biomedical engineering. The department has strong research ties with the neighboring National Rehabilitation Hospital, the National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration and other nearby institutions.
