Post Doctoral Research Fellowship
The University of Houston Center for Neuromotor and Biomechanics Research
(CNBR) is accepting applications for a 12-18 month Post Doctoral Fellowship
in Neuromotor Control to begin no earlier than January 1, 2010.
The CNBR laboratory is located in a spacious facility on the John P.
McGovern Campus of the Texas Medical Center and houses most of the equipment
and software capabilities required to support state-of-the-art human
neuromotor and biomechanics research studies
(http://grants.hhp.coe.uh.edu/cnbr/). It also has close ties to the
Laboratory of Integrated Physiology, which houses a full suite of equipment
necessary to study cellular and molecular indices of human performance
(http://grants.hhp.coe.uh.edu/lip/). Opportunities are open for basic or
clinical research studies aligned with the broad goals of the Center and the
specific interests of one or more of the Center faculty. Information
regarding current projects and faculty research interests can be found on
our website. The ideal candidate will have a recent PhD in Biomedical,
Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Kinesiology, Movement Science, or a
related field. Interested individuals should submit a current Curriculum
Vita, reprints of published articles, and a brief statement of objectives
for the Fellowship year to: Dr. William H. Paloski, Director, UH Center for
Neuromotor and Biomechanics Research, at whpaloski@uh.edu. They should also
arrange to have three academic letters of recommendation submitted to Dr.
Paloski. Applicants are encouraged to contact one or more of the Center
faculty to discuss research ideas and potential collaborations prior to
applying. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
