The Bioengineering Laboratory within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery
at the Massachusetts General Hospital is dedicated to research and education
in the flied of musculoskeletal joint biomechanics. The laboratory is
equipped with advanced research tools such as dual fluoroscopic and robotic
testing systems to investigate various complex joint mechanics.

Responsibilities: The Bioengineering Laboratory has an opening for a full
time research engineer. Under the direction of Dr. Li (Director), the
research engineer will be required to execute various in-vivo and in-vitro
research protocols primarily for the knee arthroplasty group. Other
responsibilities would include development of study protocols, writing grant
proposals, abstracts and manuscripts.

Qualifications: The position requires a B.S. or M.S. degree in
Biomechanical/Mechanical engineering. It is essential for the potential
candidate to have the proficiency and interest in biomechanical research.
Prior knowledge in biomechanical testing is preferred. The candidate must be
reliable, responsible and have the ability to efficiently work with a team
of engineers and orthopaedic surgeons.
