Biomechanics Research Associate Position at University of Pittsburgh

We are looking for an engineering research associate to join our lab
dedicated to studying musculoskeletal biomechanics with a focus on
orthopaedic applications. We combine in vivo, in vitro, and in silico
(computer modeling) approaches in our research. This research associate
will be involved in all aspects of the research, including human subject and
cadaveric specimen testing, computer programming, biomechanical modeling and
analysis. Working knowledge in these areas would be essential. This person
will also assist in writing research grants and manuscripts, preparing
research presentations, coordinating projects and supervising students. We
expect this person to be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, excellent
verbal and written communication skills. We provide great opportunities and
a very collegial environment to work collaboratively with a team of
scientists, clinicians, research fellows, students, orthopaedic fellows and
residents.

The applicant should have at least an MS degree in mechanical engineering,
bioengineering, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline. The
position is for a minimum of two years, with renewal dependent on
performance and continued availability of funding. Salary is commensurate
with credentials. The applicant must already be eligible to work in the US.
