2 full-time PhD studentship positions are available within the area of Sport, Exercise and Health at the Faculty of Health, Staffordshire University. These positions will cover an annual studentship of 12000 plus tuition fees. These positions will also have an additional academic budget of 1000 per year.

Your proposals can be in the general area of clinical biomechanics focusing either on Scoliosis/ Spine or Foot and Footwear Biomechanics. Interested candidates are encouraged to send a letter of application, a copy of their CV along with a brief research proposal in the following format:

Introduction (200 words):
-The area and the specific topic for research
-Give the background and context of the research
-Specific purpose or aim/s of the project

Research questions
-General, specific

Brief summary of review of literature in the area pertaining to the project (1000 words)

Proposed Methods
-Design (rationale and specifics of chosen design)
-Population of interest and sample to be used in the research
-Data collection
-Instruments, procedures, validation
-Data analysis

Original contribution to knowledge/ significance of the research (200 words)
