Seeking Post-doctoral Fellow or Senior Research Associate in Spine
Biomechanics / Vertebral Fractures:

The Center for Advanced Orthopaedic Studies at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical
Center seeks a postdoctoral fellow interested in spine biomechanics, spine
modeling, QCT imaging and osteoporotic vertebral fractures. The individual
will be part of a team conducting a large-scale NIH-funded research project
aimed at improving our understanding of the clinical and biomechanical
factors that lead to vertebral fractures in the elderly.

Job Requirements:
The candidate must possess a PhD degree in biomechanics, bioengineering,
mechanical engineering or other related field, or have a MS degree in these
same fields with at least 3 years research experience. The candidate must
have excellent computer proficiency. Experience with biomechanical models of
the spine is desirable, as is familiarity with Matlab, C++, and Linux.
Candidates should have outstanding organizational and communication skills,
and be prepared to take lead authorship on manuscripts. Prior experience
with medical imaging is an advantage, but not required.
