The School of Health, Sport and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Salford (http://www.healthcare.salford.ac.uk) is the largest provider of professional training for the Allied Health Professions in the UK. The post-holder will be based in the Directorate of Sport, Exercise & Physiotherapy and will contribute to the academic activity of the School and the Directorate by undertaking undergraduate & post graduate teaching, research and innovation activities.

The post-holder's principle role will be to deliver theoretical and practical aspects in one or more of the following areas: sports biomechanics, strength & conditioning, management of musculoskeletal conditions on both undergraduate and post graduate programmes within the directorate. The successful applicant will be expected to assist in providing sports science support and gait analysis to professional sports teams, and to develop consultancy opportunities as appropriate.

The Directorate of Sport, Exercise Physiotherapy have state of the art research technology in the Human Performance Laboratory and have access to facilities that are world class. Opportunities are available for the post holder to develop research activities that are commensurate with the Schools research programmes. The successful post holder must possess a PhD or be in the final stages of completion.

Post is Grade 8 36,715 - 45,155, although we would consider appointing a Senior Lecturer on grade 9 - 46,510 - 52,347 (depending on experience)
