Job Title: Research Associate
Location: Dayton, OH

The Research Associate is responsible for conducting Research and Development
projects, with involvement from initial development through execution and
closeout. In this key role you will perform biomechanical testing on various
tissues using a variety of experimental methods, executing projects related to
new allograft development, recovery and processing method improvements. You will
collect and analyze data, prepare research reports and manuscripts for
publication, and assist with surgical procedures in support of animal research

Education and Certification
BS degree required from an accredited university in engineering or closely
related scientific area. CTBS certification required, or must be obtained within
three years of hire into this position.

Demonstrated engineering research experience preferred. Experience with material
testing systems and machine shop equipment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to
solve and analyze technical problems and give recommendations. Must be detail
oriented and have the ability to organize and keep accurate records.
Professional development will be continued through training, courses, seminars,
conferences, and networking/mentoring. Will be required to handle highly
sensitive information with strict confidentiality.

Work Environment
Position requires exposure to gross anatomy. Some overnight travel required to
attend training workshops, conduct collaborative research, and present work at
meetings. Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without
reasonable accommodation.
