View Full Version : Calibration Frequency of Pedar-X Plantar Pressure Insoles

09-13-2010, 12:33 AM
Dear Colleagues,

We are preparing for human subjects testing using the Novel Pedar-X
plantar pressure insole system (standard adult sizes, 99-sensor coated
insoles). Currently, our adult subjects would be wearing the insoles
for a short period of time, with peak pressures consistent with
activities of daily living (light lifting, walking, standing, etc),
however higher peak pressures and use duration will vary across studies.
The literature on Pedar-X calibration frequency and usage results, with
respect to accuracy over time with periods of shelf-rest and
pressure-weighted use duration, as well as sensor longevity with respect
to number of calibrations at product manual-suggested settings, seems
sparse. We would appreciate hearing about the experiences and
calibration frequencies of other laboratories using this system.

Thank you very much,
