The Trauma Mechanics Research Initiative
(http://engineering.unl.edu/research/traumamechanics/) at the
University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks a highly motivated post-doctoral
researcher to perform theory, modeling and simulation research in the
field of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). This is part of a large scale
effort supported by the U.S. Army with computational simulation and
experiments on small animals, cadavers, and headforms. An immediate
appointment is available and a competitive salary will be offered
based on individual background and experience.

Specific qualifications:

* Ph.D. in Biomechanical/Biomedical Engineering with a focus in large
scale Finite Element Modeling and simulation
* Proficient in geometric modeling of the human body (from MRI/CT
data), applying impact/shock load conditions, analysis of pre- and
post-processing of large data sets
* Experience in biomaterials modeling with a focus on fluid-structure
interactions and scale-up of small animal to human models
* Capable of interfacing with interdisciplinary teams
* Competent in Bio-Engineering Mechanics
