The Mechanical Engineering Department at Baylor University invites applications for a tenure track position. Chartered in 1845 by the Republic of Texas, Baylor University is the oldest university in Texas. Baylor has an enrollment of approximately 15,000 students and is a member of the Big XII Conference. Baylor's mission is to educate men and women for worldwide leadership and service by integrating academic excellence and Christian commitment within a caring community. Responsibilities include active research, undergraduate and graduate teaching, course curriculum development, student advising, and professional service. Requirements include an earned doctorate, outstanding English communication skills, a commitment to teaching excellence, demonstrated research achievement, and a commitment to professional activities. The Mechanical Engineering Department seeks a dynamic scholar to fill a tenure-track faculty position in any of our program areas, including: solid mechanics, thermofluids, materials, and biomaterials/biomechanics.
