Simpleware is currently looking for a motivated applicant to join the technical support team of our rapidly expanding company. You should be passionate about working with clients by providing technical knowledge and sales support. You will also be responsible for contracted projects throughout the project life cycle which will require you to work very closely with the R&D departments of a range of blue chip corporate companies. The position will also involve considerable travel both within the UK and abroad.

Simpleware (www.simpleware.com) is a highly innovative, UK based, software and services company. We develop and market world-leading mesh generation software, which converts 3D scan data (e.g. MRI, CT, MicroCT, etc.) into high-quality computer models used for CAD, Finite Element simulation, and Rapid Prototyping. Simpleware software is being used by engineers in a variety of fields including - Biomedical Engineering, Materials Research, Industrial Reverse Engineering, Palaeontology, Forensics, and Biomimicry. Our customers range from international blue chip corporations to research institutions and universities world-wide.

Primarily, this role will involve:
* Provide high quality and reliable technical support for our clients
* Generate CAD models and FE meshes using Simpleware tools, run FE analyses
* Generate proposals, papers, reports, software documentation, and tutorials
* Organise software demonstrations, workshops, and training
* Visit potential clients, and attend conferences and exhibitions
* Establish new, and maintain existing, long-term relationships with customers

The ideal candidate will have:
* MSc or PhD degree in an Engineering related subject
* Experience using CAD packages (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.), and Finite Element (e.g. Abaqus, Ansys, LS-Dyna, etc.) or Computational Fluid Dynamics codes (e.g. Fluent)
* Good knowledge of either medical image processing, biomechanical modelling (orthopaedic implants, stents, etc.) or microstructural modelling (composites, foams, etc.)
* Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects
* Strong project management ability, personal organisation and customer focus
* Good communication skills
* Self-motivation and able to work on own initiative whilst being a team player
* Knowledge of German would be useful/an advantage
