Biomechanics: University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications for an Assistant Professor tenure-track position in Biomechanics. The University and School of HPER have a strong commitment to achieving diversity among faculty and staff. Duties: Teach courses in biomechanics, physiology and anatomy, laboratory methods in biomechanics, and research methods in the undergraduate and graduate Exercise Science/Physical Education Program; supervise graduate students; conduct research and participate in scholarly activity; obtain external funding; and provide departmental, college, university and professional service. Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Biomechanics or related area. ABD considered. Experience teaching biomechanics, physiology and anatomy, laboratory methods in biomechanics, and research methods at the college or university level; established record or potential for scholarly activity with a strong commitment to research; established record or potential for external funding and/or grant submissions. The Exercise Science/Physical Education Program offers undergraduate degrees in Exercise Science, Teacher Preparation, and Athletic Training. It offers Master's degrees in Exercise Science, Physical Activity in Health Promotion, Pedagogy and Coaching. The Exercise Science/Physical Education Program is located in the School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation. Anticipated starting date is August 15, 2011.
