Surgical Innovations (SI) - www.surginno.com, based in Leeds W. Yorks, is a leading designer and manufacturer of Laparoscopic (key-hole surgery) systems for a wide range of minimally invasive surgery. SI see the value of supporting talented engineers and are sponsoring the MSc course fee for one student this coming academic year (Sept 2011 start) at the University of Bradford, UK. The successful applicant will undertake their major MSc project on a topic related to the company’s technical needs.

The taught masters course at the University of Bradford offers a broad range of topics such as biomaterials, biomechanics, implant design, human movement analysis and prosthetic design; infection control, biophysics and tissue engineering.
