In case you prefer to reply privately, instead of in public, you can click on someone's name (in blue, above the posting) and select "Send Email".

You can choose whether or not to allow e-mail being sent from other users, in Settings -> General Settings. Catherine Gariepy has turned this off, so "Send Email" does not appear in the menu when you click on her name.

I noticed that Catherine and Bing have registered on Biomch-L in the past few days, even though they already had accounts. So now they each have two accounts. This is not a good situation, because the old account will still be sending the daily e-mail notifications. They will not be able to change their e-mail subscription settings when logged in on the new account. This can cause confusion later on, and you will wonder why you are still getting e-mails from one of the forums, even though your settings clearly say that you are not subscribed to any e-mail notifications.

I will merge the old and new accounts for Catherine and Bing which will solve this problem. If this causes other problems, please contact me and I will help fix it.

If you ever forget your password, do not create a new account. Click on "forgot password" to have it e-mailed to you. If you no longer have access to the e-mail address that you registered with, use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page and ask for assistance.

Thanks, Ton. I created a new account because I could not retrieve my password. I tried but the system asked me some question I don't know the answser. Apparently creating a new account is much easier. I apologize for any trouble my new account might created. If you can, please erase my old account and keep my new account. Thanks a lot.
