M.S. Graduate Research Assistantship in Biomechanics

The Department of Kinesiology is currently accepting applications for a graduate research assistant position in biomechanics interested in pursuing a M.S. degree in Exercise Science. The applicant will work with faculty and other graduate students in biomechanics and postural control as well as collaborate with faculty from Engineering, Robotics and Computer Science. The position includes a 9-month stipend for $13,000 and an in-state tuition waiver.

Biomechanics Laboratory
The Biomechanics Laboratory is equipped with a six camera Vicon 460 motion analysis system, two AMTI force plates, a 16 channel Bagnoli EMG system, a Biodex System 3 dynamometer, a NeuroCom Smart Equitest Balance System, a Gaitrite System and a GE Lunar Achilles Insight Imaging Bone Ultrasonometer.

Preferred Qualifications
B.S. in Kinesiology, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or Mathematics. Computer programming experience with Visual Studio.Net and MatLab.
