The University of Kentucky Center for Muscle Biology will be hosting a workshop from the 25th to the 28th July 2011 for PhD students and postdocs who are currently developing computer models of muscle.
The objectives of the workshop are to:

help trainees to integrate technical quantitative skills, creative development processs, and broad biological and biophysical knowledge, to develop better predictive models of muscle systems
stimulate trainees to think about novel ways of integrating models of molecular-scale systems into simulations of complete cells and whole organ systems
encourage trainees to think about how they can use models to help solve clinical problems

Trainees can register through the workshop website (see below). The registration fee has been fixed at $200 and can be paid with any valid credit card. The fee covers accommodation for the workshop, all meals, and refreshments at each session. Attendees are responsible for their own travel to and from Lexington, KY.
