Research Associate in Biomechanical Factors for Artificial Turf Playing Surfaces

Fixed term for 14 months (part-time 29.6 hrs per week - potential to be increased to full-time for part of the contract)
Salary/Benefits: Commencing Salary 27,428 to 29,972 pro rata per annum

A research associate is required to contribute to an EPSRC funded project into human biomechanics and perception for artificial turf playing surfaces with variable surface properties. This will include the opportunity to be involved in collaborating with the artificial turf industry, writing funding applications and the wider activities of the Sports Technology Research Group.

A PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience, research experience in experimental biomechanics (motion analysis and force platforms) and strong computer literacy (including Matlab) are essential. Some experience in sports surfaces testing and conducting subjective data collections is desirable.
