Dear Colleagues,

In the framework of a Spanish project (http://www.iai.csic.es/hyper/index.htm) we are organizing a Summer School entitled: "Emerging Technologies for Neurorehabilitation" (http://www.iai.csic.es/hyper/hss/index.html). The Summer School will be focused on three pathologies: stroke, SCI and Cerebral Palsy.
Attached you will find the corresponding announcement which is now being distributed to the target audience.

The Summer School will take place in Salamanca (Spain) from the 18 to 23 of September.

Some of the speakers confirmed are:
- Dr. Jonathan R. Wolpaw, Wadsworth Center, Neural Injury and Repair Professor, New York State Department of Health.
- Dr. Romulo Fuentes, Instituto Internacional de Neurociência de Natal, Brazil.
- Dr. E. Fernandez, University of Elche, Spain.
- Dr. Paolo Bonato, MIT, USA.
- Dr. Marco Molinari, Fondazione Santa Lucia, Italy.
- Dr. S. Micera, ETH.
- Mr. Freygardur Thorsteinsson, OSSUR, Iceland.
- Dr. Etienne Burdet, Department of Bioengineering, Imperial College of Science, London, UK.
- Dr. Metin Akay, University of Houston.
- Dr. Ilse Jonkers, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium.
- Dr. A. Caria, University of Tübingen, Germany.
- Dr. D. Reinkensmeyer, University of California, USA.

We tried to keep the price as low as possible and finally the registration fee will be 600€ but includes full accommodation for five days at the Abadía de los Templarios, transportation Madrid-La Alberca, meals, coffee breaks and lecture materials.

We will try to have a similar number of speakers from the clinical side and from the engineering side. Moreover, we will try to keep the same ratio with the students. We think that this approach will make the Summer School mode fruitful. It will be a great opportunity for students to interact with well-know senior researches in the field.

This e-mail is to invite you and your PhD. students to this Summer School. We will be happy to welcome you here in Spain. (http://www.iai.csic.es/hyper/hss/documents/Announcement_2.pdf)

Please provide us your feedback at your earliest convenience since we aim the to keep the number of students to 50 as maximum (30 are already booked).

Best regards,

Eduardo Rocon, PhD.
