Hi all,
We recently made (designed, drew and machined) a follower load system that uses pneumatic actuators to apply a compressive force to spinal segments. It is lightweight and after a series of fatigue tests has been really easy to use- our old system of springs was bulky and a bit of a headache to setup. Since it’s worked so well for us, we were wondering if others might be interested in using the design. We could even copy our system and ship it if people think this would be useful.
Let us know if you want more details- I’ve attached a couple pictures.

Hi Will,

congratulations, it looks like a good device. We are working on a review paper about in vitro spine testing. Do you have any papers published on your testing system? I would be happy to include reference to your work in our paper. Best regards,

Luca
