Is anyone familiar with research investigating kinematics
of a forward trip/slip and fall during walking or running
(not athletes)? I realize that the kinematics are extremely
sensitive to initial conditions such as velocity, phase of
gait, surface conditions, etc. But can one still expect to
see protective extension of the arms, cervical extension,
and knee strike in a forward trip and fall? I need research
to cite not just opinions. I'd be happy to post all responses.
