Chuck,

In your message of Jan 27 you requested information about portable data
acquisition systems and their feasibility.

Although this is breaking new ground I had finished developing such a
system only days before you posted your message.

I am using a:
486 DX2 66MHz laptop with 8MB RAM (minimum)
National Instruments DAQCard 700 PCMCIA data acquisition board
and LabView 3.1

for this very same purpose. I am presented with an opportunity to
collect uniquee data about rapid deceleration of the inter vertebral
discs of the cervical spine in a location where there just are no ac
power outlets. Hence the need.
