Mechanics of Joint Replacement

In conjunction with the Orthopaedic Surgery Department, the
Mechanical Engineering Department has support for a student
to pursue doctoral work in the mechanics of knee joint replacement.
A master's degree in a related field is prerequisite and
willingness to work in an interdisciplinary environment is
necessary. The University of Pittsburgh offers a Bioengineering
Program as well as the standard Mechanical Engineering degree so
that bioengineering students with a focus in measurement and
analysis of mechanical systems are encouraged to apply.

The need to fill the position by 15.May, 1995 is anticipated.
