Job Description
A postdoctoral position is available at the University of California, Riverside in the field of pediatric rehabilitation. The researcher will work on the development and evaluation of neurorehabilitation environments to promote the development and function of young children with motor impairments. Children that are training in these environments often use assistive devices such as wearable exoskeletons, open-area body weight support systems, and socially assistive robots.

We are looking for a highly-motivated candidate with particular interest and background on motor development, behavior, and/or learning. A PhD in rehabilitation science, kinesiology, biomechanics, developmental psychology or a related field is required. Experience working with infants and young children with and without motor disabilities and expertise on behavioral analysis (e.g., Datavyu), motion testing and analysis (e.g., Vicon), and programming (e.g., Matlab) is also required. A license in pediatric physical therapy and experience with standardized developmental assessments (e.g. Bayley) is a plus.

Job Functions
The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for: recruitment of subjects, data collections, data analysis, preparation and submission of IRB protocols, training and supervision of undergraduate students, development of new experimental/research methods, writing and submission of conference and journal papers.

The anticipated start date is October 1, 2018, but the position will remain open until filled. Please send your curriculum vitae, a research statement, and contact information for three references to Dr. Elena Kokkoni (elena.kokkoni@ucr.edu).
