The Neuromodulation Research Center (https://nmrc.umn.edu/) at the University of Minnesota seeks multiple post-doctoral associates to conduct clinical neurophysiology studies focusing on the pathophysiology of movement disorders such as Parkinsonís disease, dystonia and essential tremor. This research will utilize intraoperative microelectrode recordings and recordings from deep brain stimulation (DBS) electrode contacts to study how movement disorders and therapeutic interventions (i.e. DBS, medication) impact neuronal network activity, and how these changes relate to the development and improvement in symptom severity. Individuals with experience collecting and analyzing electrophysiology data (clinical or preclinical) are encouraged to apply.
