SUBJECT:Viscoplasticity of cancellous bone

Dear BIOMCH-Ls
Help a neophite of biomech-l what I am.
What I'm trying to understand is the consequence
of viscous or viscoplastic or damage behavior of
cancellous bone (and of cortical bone).
Might this kind of behavior affect the design of
hip joint stem prosthesis?
Changing in stress pattern and magnitude (caused
by prosthesis or other), might viscosity and/or damage
play an important role (in remodelling also)?
Why there are so few papers about this subject?
I'm looking for an explanation of this my doubt
and some papers on experimental investigation
and/or mathematical modelling.
