DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN MOVEMENT STUDIES

THE UNIVERSITY OF QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA


The Department of Human Movement Studies at The University of
Queensland in Brisbane, Australia seeks to appoint either a
Research Fellow or a Research Officer to support and enhance existing
areas of research within the Department. The successful applicant
will hold a PhD in human movement studies or a related discipline and
have a demonstrated capacity to publish high quality research in any
one of the fields of exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor
control, sport and exercise psychology, pedagogy or the socio-
cultural aspects of physical activity and sport.

Appointment will be for a three year period with appointment to the
higher level of Research Fellow being dependent on significant
postdoctoral experience, publication record and a demonstrated
ability as the principal investigator of a major research project.
Salary will be in the range of $Aus29,117-$39,495 for Research Officer
and $Aus41,574-$49,370 for Research Fellow. Exercise science is a
research priority area of The University of Queensland. The
successful applicant should be available to commence duty in January
1996 or thereabouts.
