Dear UW-Kin graduates,

As some of you already know, "Paul Guy" is leaving the UW-Gait
Laboratory. For the last 16 years, he was in charge of Dr.
Winter's Laboratory, and as most of you agree with me, he did
an outstanding job. It is somewhat hard to describe him within
the space of this letter and do him justice. Nevertheless, let
me try. He is a mentor, colleague, hardware man, software man,
trouble shooter, high tech man, pain in the neck, analog man,
nature man, know it all man, .... . For some, he is all of the
above, and for others, he was most of the above.

All of us at UW-Kin, faculty, staff, and students, feel happy
and sad regarding his departure. Happy, because he is moving
forward, becoming part of the ATM project team at the UW-MCS,
and sad because we are losing an irreplaceable person. We all
shall miss him and wish him the best in his new endeavor.

To show our appreciation, Dr. Winter, Dr. Patla, and Dr. Frank
are giving a farewell party in the UW-Gait Laboratory, on the
afternoon of Tuesday, June 11th, 1996. If you wish to say a
word or two, good or bad, humerous or sad, please fax me at
1-(519)-746-6776 before that date. I shall dedicate a slice of
the party time to read your faxes.

Regards,

Milad G. Ishac,
