We have a position open for a Ph.D. student to carry out studies in ultrasound
physics and/or bone material biomechanics. The Ph.D. degree is in Advanced Radiological Sciences, a graduate program with emphasis on applied physics in medical imaging and development of new medical technologies. The program is a part of the Dept of Radiology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. The ultrasound and bone material studies program offers research opportunities in ultrasound physics, clinical, animal and in vitro studies in application of a new method of ultrasound characterization of bone mechanical properties, cell and tissue culture facilities for bone formation studies and extensive support for various forms of diagnostic and functional imaging.
