Dear Members,
A group of us at are looking at the
motion of the head in various sporting
activities. Pulaski, Zee and Robinson's paper
"The behavior of the vestibulo-ocular reflex at
high velocities of head rotation." (1981, Brain
Research 222:159-165), used 2 subjects to
determine that the vestibular ocular reflex is
saturated in the transverse plane at head
angular velocities exceeding 350 deg/sec. Does
anyone know if this is "The gold medal"
standard, or if other research exists to confirm/refute
this finding ?
Cheers everyone,
Mike Lovell-Smith
