The appointee will teach and conduct research in the area of biomechanics
and motor control and will have particular expertise in the analysis of
mechanical and neural constraints in the production of coordinated movement.
Duties will include the pursuit of a vigorous research program, supervision
of graduate research students, and teaching and administration of
post-graduate and undergraduate biomechanics and motor control subjects.

Essential: Post-graduate research degree (PhD necessary for appointment at
Senior Lecturer level) in biomechanics or a related discipline; strong
publication record in internationally refereed journals in the dsicipline
area outlined above; background in the biomechanics of human movement;
capacity to attract external competitive grants; (a track record in
obtaining external competitive grants is necessary for employment at the
Senior Lecturer level).

Desirable: experience in: computer simulation of the human musculo-skeletal
system, tertiary teaching, curriculum development, and supervision of
graduate research students.

The appointment is for 3 years with the possibility of a further offer of up
to 3 years subject to the need and the availability of funding.
