FACULTY POSITION
PROGRAMS IN PHYSICAL THERAPY
NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY MEDICAL SCHOOL

The Department of Physical Therapy offers a full-time faculty position in
Physical Therapy. Responsibilities of the position include teaching of
kinesiology and biomechanics in an entry-level professional program (Master
of Physical Therapy) and graduate program, as well as participating in
scholarly and clinical service activities. Other responsibilities include
departmental committees, admissions process, student advising and program
development.

Minimum qualifications for this position include a post-professional
master's degree, eligibility for licensure as a physical therapist in
Illinois, and previous teaching experience in a clinical or academic
setting, and the ability to apply knowledge of kinesiology and biomechanics
to the management of patients with neuromusculoskeletal problems.

This position is a full-time, twelve-month, non-tenure track appointment.
Academic rank and salary are commensurate with credentials and experience.

The Programs in Physical Therapy, which are located in the heart of the
Gold Coast of downtown Chicago, has new state-of-the-art classrooms and
teaching facilities and four research laboratories, including two dedicated
to motion analysis. Many opportunities exist for scholarly and clinical
service activities.
