ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY
DIVISION OF PHYSICAL THERAPY

Full time, tenure track positions at the assistant or associate professor
level are available to support current expansion in a department that
offers both entry-level and advanced MS degree programs. Cardiopulmonary,
biomechanics, motor control and pediatrics are of special interest,
however, other areas of experience will be considered. Masters degree
required, doctorate or degree in progress, preferred;licensed physical
therapist (or eligible) in New York State; clinical experience. Salary and
rank are commensurate with credentials and professional experience. Two
positions are presently available and two positions will be available
September 1, 1997.

The division has recently moved into a new Health Science Center with a
10,000 square foot physical therapy floor with expanded teaching and
research space. A video/computer-based movement analysis laboratory and a
clinical practice facility are being established. The Brooklyn campus is
located in an area of major new commercial expansion and is only minutes
away from Manhattan.
