View Full Version : 2nd Call Midwest Biomechanics Symposium

01-03-1997, 09:11 AM
This notice was originally sent out on December 12.

>The 1997 Midwest Graduate Student Biomechanics Symposium will be held
Saturday, March 1, 1997 at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois.
The symposium typically runs form about 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Normal is
located about halfway between St Louis and Chicago at the intersection of
three major interstates.
>Students, graduate and undergraduate, are invited to submit titles (not an
abstract, just the title) for oral presentation at the symposium. Titles
must be received by January 31, 1997 at the address listed below. The
symposium is very informal, with the intent of providing students an
opportunity to share their research and to receive feedback from
biomechanists other than their own advisor. Presenters are typically
allocated between 15 and 30 minutes for a presentation, depending on the
number of submissions.
>The research presented can be at any stage of the research process. In the
past, the symposia have included undergraduates presenting proposals of an
intended study and doctoral students making a dry-run of their dissertation
>There is no charge for the symposium.
>A response by e-mail to this notice will ensure that you receive future
information about the symposium.

Regards, Steve
